Luxury, comfort and inclusive travel

The Mercedes V-Class Vienna is a premium wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) designed for those who want exceptional comfort, space and refinement. Combining the luxury of the Mercedes V-Class with a thoughtfully designed low-floor conversion, the Vienna makes every journey feel first class.

The wheelchair passenger travels centrally in the second row, creating a more inclusive experience with excellent all-round visibility and the opportunity to travel alongside other passengers rather than behind them. Two full-size removable Mercedes seats sit either side, providing a comfortable and sociable travelling environment.

Getting in and out is straightforward thanks to the assisted rear access ramp and electric wheelchair winch, while a generous 56″ (1422 mm) of interior headroom creates a bright, spacious and comfortable environment for wheelchair travel.

Flexible seating provides space for 4 to 6 seated passengers plus one wheelchair passenger, with additional tip-and-fold seats available in the third row when extra passenger capacity is required.

Available in Premium and Exclusive trim levels, with a Premium AMG Line package also available, the Vienna offers an impressive combination of luxury, technology and comfort. Features include twin electric sliding doors, heated front seats, MBUX multimedia technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging and Active Parking Assist with a 360° camera.

Choose from V200d 163bhp or V300d 239bhp engine options, combining effortless performance with the refinement you would expect from a Mercedes-Benz.

The Mercedes V-Class Vienna brings together premium comfort, flexible passenger space and thoughtful wheelchair accessibility to create a truly luxurious wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Learn about VAT exemption

You can buy a motor vehicle VAT-free when all the following conditions are met:

  • the motor vehicle is supplied to a disabled person who normally uses a wheelchair to be mobile.
  • the vehicle is permanently and substantially adapted.
  • the adapted motor vehicle is for the domestic or personal use of the disabled wheelchair user, and the supplier has been given a completed declaration, form VAT1615A, which confirms eligibility.

Definition of ‘wheelchair’ and ‘wheelchair user’

In legal terms, a wheelchair is a chair on wheels for disabled people, which is either manually propelled or electrically powered. A mobility scooter is not a wheelchair for VAT purposes. A wheelchair user is any disabled person who normally uses a wheelchair in order to be mobile. A person who occasionally uses a wheelchair is not eligible.
