The Spacetourer Chorus XL is a spacious and versatile Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), giving wheelchair users and their families even more room to travel comfortably. With its extended body, the Chorus XL provides additional passenger and storage space while remaining practical and easy to live with every day. It is the longer version of the Spacetourer Chorus, and the extra length sits behind the wheelchair position rather than changing the conversion.
The flexible seating layout makes it easy to adapt the interior around your needs. Citroën’s original 60/40 split rear bench stays in place, so you can drop one side for luggage and keep the other in use, and optional tip and fold seats take the Chorus XL to seven seats when it travels without a wheelchair passenger. In the standard layout five people travel seated alongside the wheelchair user.
Wheelchair access is through a 31″ (787 mm) rear entrance and a lightweight bi-fold ramp at a low gradient with a 350 kg safe working load, so pushing up takes little effort. A lowered floor gives 56″ (1440 mm) of maximum interior headroom, creating a bright, spacious and comfortable travelling environment for the wheelchair passenger.

The Chorus XL offers a generous range of comfort and technology, including a 10″ touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, twin sliding side doors and rear parking sensors. Max models add electric sliding doors, dual-zone climate control, a parking camera and leather seats.

Wheelchair access and dimensions
In the Chorus XL the wheelchair user travels at the back, behind the bench, so the floor height decides both the headroom and the view. Like all the wheelchair accessible vehicles we build, the Chorus XL starts with a lowered floor, giving 56″ (1,440 mm) over the travelling position and a view out of the side windows rather than over the seat backs.
The extra length is in the body, not in the conversion. The entrance, the ramp and the travelling position are the same as the standard Chorus, so a chair that fits one fits the other, and the extra 350 mm goes into passenger space and luggage room behind the wheelchair position.
When you are comparing wheelchair accessible vehicles, check the entrance and travelling position against your own chair, and the ramp’s safe working load against the chair’s weight with you in it. Anything close is a reason to book a home demonstration rather than rely on a tape measure.

Outside, the Chorus XL is 5309 mm long, 1920 mm wide excluding mirrors and 1890 mm high. The height clears most public car park barriers, and the length is worth measuring against a garage or a short driveway before you commit.
Every Spacetourer Chorus XL is built at our own workshops in Devon, so if a measurement is close, send us your chair’s make and model and we will check it against the vehicle for you. If you do not need the extra length, the Spacetourer Chorus is the shorter version of the same conversion.
The Chorus XL wheelchair accessible vehicle comfortably accommodates up to 5 passengers and the wheelchair user in the rear, in its standard configuration. The original Citroen rear bench seat offers a 60/40 split for added versatility. For larger groups, optional tip 'n' fold seats can increase the capacity to 7 passengers, without the wheelchair.

Body length, and nothing that changes the wheelchair user’s experience. The Chorus XL is 5309 mm long against the standard Spacetourer Chorus at 4959 mm. The entrance, the ramp, the lowered floor and the travelling position are the same on both, so a chair that fits one fits the other. The extra 350 mm sits behind the wheelchair position and goes into passenger space and luggage room, which is what makes the XL the choice for longer journeys and for carrying more with you.
Where the wheelchair user sits, and how many people you need to carry. In the Chorus XL the wheelchair position is at the rear, behind the seated rows, the rear entrance is wider at 31″ (787 mm), and Citroën’s 60/40 split bench stays in place.
In the Quantum XL the wheelchair user travels in the second row, level with the family, and there is room for six alongside them rather than five. Both are built on the same longer Citroën Spacetourer body, so the choice is about where you want to travel and how many seats you need.

That is where a folded second chair, hoist or transfer equipment, a wheelchair bag and holiday luggage go, with everyone still seated. We do not publish a load length for that area, so if you have a specific piece of equipment in mind, send us its dimensions and we will measure it against the vehicle before you commit.
