Citroën Spacetourer Chorus WAV

Space, comfort and flexibility for the whole family

The Citroën Spacetourer Chorus is a spacious and versatile Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) designed for families who need plenty of space without compromising on comfort or accessibility. The wheelchair user travels in the rear, with the rest of the family seated ahead of them. If you would prefer the wheelchair user to travel in the second row, level with the family, the Spacetourer Quantum is the alternative on the same base vehicle.

With seating for up to five passengers alongside the wheelchair user, the Chorus makes it easy for everyone to travel together. Citroën’s original 60/40 split rear bench stays in place, so you can drop one side for luggage and keep the other in use, and optional tip and fold seats take the Chorus to seven seats when it travels without a wheelchair passenger.

Boarding is through a 31″ (787 mm) rear entrance, wider than the Quantum’s 29″ (745 mm). The ramp is a lightweight bi-fold unit at a low gradient with a 350 kg safe working load, so pushing up takes little effort, and a lowered floor gives 56″ (1440 mm) of maximum interior headroom for a bright and comfortable travelling space.

The Chorus also offers plenty of everyday comfort and technology, including cruise control, a 10″ touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, twin sliding side doors and rear parking sensors. The vehicle comes in Plus and Max models, and Max adds electric sliding rear doors, dual-zone climate control, a parking camera and leather seats.

Powered by a 2.0 BlueHDi 180 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Spacetourer Chorus combines effortless driving, flexible seating and straightforward access in one practical family WAV.

Safety tested to EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval and fully compatible with PAS 2012, the UK standard for wheelchair accessible vehicles, every Chorus leaves our Devon workshops with high-quality four-point restraints as standard, upgradeable to 200 kg at no cost on the Motability Scheme.

GM Coachwork has been converting vehicles here since 1988, and the Chorus comes with our three-year conversion warranty.

Wheelchair access and dimensions

In the Chorus the wheelchair user travels at the back, behind the bench, so the floor height decides both the headroom and the view. Like all the wheelchair accessible vehicles we build, the Chorus starts with a lowered floor, giving 56″ (1440 mm) over the travelling position and a view out of the side windows rather than over the seat backs.

When you are comparing WAVs, check the entrance and travelling position against your own chair, and the ramp’s safe working load against the chair’s weight with you in it. Anything close is a reason to book a home demonstration rather than rely on a tape measure.

Every Spacetourer Chorus WAV is built at our own workshops in Devon, so if a measurement is close, send us your chair’s make and model and we will check it against the vehicle for you.
If you want more length and extra storage space, the Chorus XL WAV is the longer version of this conversion.

Spacetourer Chorus FAQs

Yes. The original Citroën 60/40 split bench stays in the second row, with the travelling position behind it, so five people ride seated and the wheelchair user travels behind them. Optional tip and fold seats let the Chorus carry seven when no one is travelling in a wheelchair.

Check three figures against your own chair: the entrance, 31″ (787 mm) wide by 57″ (1447 mm) high; the travelling position, 27.5″ (700 mm) wide by 55″ (1400 mm) long; and the ramp’s 350 kg safe working load, which has to cover the chair with you in it. If yours is close on any of them, book a home demonstration. We bring vehicles to your door anywhere in the UK, with no obligation, so you can try the ramp and the travelling position for real.

Where the wheelchair user sits. In the Chorus the wheelchair position is at the rear, behind the seated rows, and the entrance is wider at 31″ (787 mm). In our Citroën Spacetourer Quantum WAV the wheelchair user travels in the second row, level with the family, and there is room for six alongside the wheelchair user rather than five. Both vehicles are built on the same Citroën Spacetourer, so the choice is about where you want to travel and how many people you need to carry.

On the Motability Scheme the Chorus starts from an £8,595 Advance Payment, with the lease, insurance, servicing and breakdown cover then met from your weekly allowance in the usual way, and a range of no-cost adaptations, listed under non-cost options above, chosen when you order. For a private purchase price, including the VAT position, ask our team for a quote. Visit the official site for more details on how the Motability Scheme works.

The Chorus and Chorus XL come in five exterior colours: Titanium Grey, Kapari Green, Icy White, Perla Nera Black and Cumulus Grey.
