The Citroën Spacetourer Chorus keeps the original 60/40 split rear bench, so the wheelchair user travels in the rear with up to five seated passengers ahead of them, or seven when the vehicle travels without a wheelchair user. It has a 31 inch (787 mm) rear entrance. The Chorus XL is the same conversion on the longer Spacetourer XL body, which puts the extra 350 mm into the body behind the wheelchair position rather than into the conversion itself.

The Spacetourer Quantum places the wheelchair user in the second row, with up to six seated passengers around them, or seven without a wheelchair user. It is the choice for larger families, and for anyone who wants the wheelchair user in the middle of the conversation rather than at the back of it. Its entrance is 29 inches (745 mm), narrower than the Chorus, so tell us your chair’s width before a demonstration. The Quantum XL is the same layout on the XL body, with the entrance, ramp and travelling position unchanged.

The Spacetourer Turin is our up-front conversion. The wheelchair user boards through the rear ramp, travels forward through the cabin and sits beside the driver, with up to four seated passengers behind. It suits couples, and anyone who has spent enough journeys in the back row. The Spacetourer Monterey 6 is for wheelchair users who want to drive. It is an internal transfer vehicle: you board in your wheelchair through the powered rear tailgate and ramp, a six-way powered transfer seat moves back to meet you, and you move across into a standard driver’s seat, with your wheelchair stowed and restrained behind you. The same rear position carries a wheelchair passenger when somebody else drives. If you have seen the Spacetourer described as a seven, eight or nine seater, that is the standard MPV; as a wheelchair accessible vehicle it seats up to six people plus the wheelchair user, because the lowered floor and the wheelchair travelling position take the space the extra seats would use.

The seat configuration is settled when you order. Our team will ask how many people usually travel, whether the wheelchair user needs to sit next to a particular person, and whether the rear seats need to fold for luggage and equipment, then show you the layouts that fit.

Beyond the Advance Payment, the lease is met from your allowance. On a wheelchair accessible vehicle it runs for five years rather than the three years of a standard Motability car, and it includes insurance for up to three named drivers, servicing, maintenance and MOT, RAC breakdown cover, replacement tyres, windscreen repair or replacement and vehicle tax.

Many adaptations are fitted at no cost on the scheme, including the wheelchair restraint upgrade to 200 kg and the non-cost options listed on each vehicle’s page. All six use the 2.0 BlueHDi 180 diesel engine with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, in Plus or Max trim, and all six are 1,920 mm wide excluding mirrors and 1,890 mm high, so they clear most public car park height barriers. The two XL models are 5,309 mm long against 4,959 mm for the rest, which is worth checking against your driveway.
